First Class Passengers — and Cattle
My great-grandfather worked for the Atlantic Transport Line from 1883 and had been Superintending Engineer of the fleet for many years when he retired in 1912. As a child I was intrigued when members of the family talked of ships with exotic names like Minnetonka and Minnewaska. This website enables me to share my research about this fascinating company and the ships it operated. Inevitably there is always more to do and this will remain very much a “work in progress.” Contributions in the form of corrections, additions, and images are always welcome and will be gratefully acknowledged.
