The Atlantic Transport Line offices in London and New York issued brochures to promote their services from about 1900. These brochures often featured a new ship, described the service on board in glowing terms and often offered images of tourist destinations to tempt prospective passengers. Other brochures focused on accommodation, schedules, and fares - often including deck plans so passengers could select the accommodation that suited them and their budget. Under International Mercantile Marine Company management the number and attractiveness of Atlantic Transport Line brochures increased dramatically. In the late 1920s a brochure was even produced in French to promote traffic from the Channel ports then being called on regularly.
